Professionally

Before discovering SEO, I spent my days among books, newspapers, and publishing projects. I studied Hispanic American Language and Literature and took my first professional steps as a proofreader, editor, and copywriter. Working with texts taught me the mystique of attention to detail, but also that behind every piece of content there’s a person we want to connect with.

In 2014, already in Portugal, I discovered I could combine my publishing experience with search behavior analysis. I started by creating and optimizing content and, gradually, took on responsibilities in SEO strategy, project management and launches, and team leadership.

Later on, I expanded my profile into web analytics and technical SEO. I’ve worked on content audits, metadata, keyword research, and visibility analysis. I’ve also coordinated projects and collaborated with content teams for different markets across the Americas and Europe.

I see SEO as a meeting point between language, data, technology, and human behavior. That multidisciplinary perspective is what I bring to my work at Human Level today.

On a personal level

I’m from Venezuela, lived in Portugal for ten years, and now reside in Barcelona. Moving between countries, languages, and cultures has shaped the way I observe the world and has fueled my curiosity about the different ways we express (and search for) the same idea.

Literature is an important part of my life. I also enjoy long walks to explore the city and discover its most unusual corners. On those walks, I often stop to look at trees. In fact, my phone gallery is full of photos of monumental trees, although I’m not quite sure why I keep them. When I’m not reading, I’m probably cooking something improvised, watching a series, or planning a trip.

I like long conversations, questions that don’t have an immediate answer, and projects that push me to learn something new.
