IP number ranges are geographically distributed and there are online functionalities that allow you to identify where a given IP address is geolocated.<\/p>\n<p>Although we might think that if we have our domain hosted by a Spanish Web hosting company it would be logical that the domain points to a Spanish IP, sometimes it may happen that the hosting company uses servers in <em>datacenters<\/em> located in other countries, so it is a good idea to check the IP of your domain as well as the geolocation corresponding to that IP address.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19055\" src=\"https:\/\/www.humanlevel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/geolocalizacion-ip.jpg\" alt=\"Server IP geolocation\" width=\"675\" height=\"256\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.humanlevel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/geolocalizacion-ip.jpg 675w, https:\/\/www.humanlevel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/geolocalizacion-ip-400x152.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 675px) 100vw, 675px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first thing we need to know to know the geolocation of our server is the IP number to which our domain is pointed. Tools such as <a title=\"Go to Site Info\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wmtips.com\/tools\/info\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Site Info from WMTips<\/a> can tell us the IP number that corresponds to a given domain.<\/p>\n<p>With that IP number, we can use other tools such as <a title=\"Go to IP2Location Demo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ip2location.com\/demo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IP2Location<\/a>, <a title=\"Go to IP Tracker\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iptrackeronline.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IP Tracker <\/a>or<a title=\"Go to IP Location Finder\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iplocation.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> IP Location Finder<\/a> to know the geolocation of that IP value.
