Instagram is a social networking service created in October 2010 by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. It’s a mobile application available for Android and iOS platforms. It allows users to share pictures and videos with their followers, with the additional possibility of being able to link Instagram to other social media like Facebook, Twitter or Flickr.
Instagram’s most important feature are filters you can apply to your pictures, to give them a more personal and artistic touch. Another one of its peculiarities is the picture aspect ratio, which is square by default, a nod to instant cameras like Kodak or Polaroid.
Ads on Instagram require a different approach to those of other PPC campaigns, due to the need to create a connection with the user to achieve positive results. We also must strive to pass on our brand’s essence and values through our post ads.
